Betty Mahalik Named Volunteer of the Month for ShelterBox

Seems kind of odd writing this about myself, but just had to share the wonderful news that I've been named Volunteer of the Month for June by ShelterBox!  What a surprise and an honor to see my name and the photo of me and our favorite city councilman Stavros Anthony in the ShelterBox newsletter.  I am so proud to be honored but more importantly to be part of this amazing humanitarian organization.  And I'm deeply grateful for the wonderful support of the Summerlin Rotary Club.  You can read the article in the ShelterBox newsletter.  Thank you again for all you've done to support me and ShelterBox in District 5300!!

Join us on July 4 from 7:30AM to 11AM to volunteer as a balloon wrangler in the 18th Annual Summerlin Patriotic Parade. Good fun and fellowship. Family and friends welcome. Kids need to be big enough to hold a balloon tether and not get carried off over the rainbow - 'nuff said.
